Refund Policy

We want you to feel confident buying Maison. Here is exactly when we refund, when we don’t, and how to ask.

TL;DR

  • Within 14 days of purchase: full refund, no questions asked.
  • After 14 days: case-by-case, for unfixable technical issues only.
  • Stores with live orders: generally no refund — the Theme has done its job.
  • Chargebacks: revoke the license immediately. We will respond to the dispute with our evidence.

14-day refund window

For 14 calendar days after your purchase, you may request a full refund for any reason. No justification required. We will:

  1. Process the refund within five (5) business days to your original payment method.
  2. Revoke your Maison license — your storefront will display a revocation notice and you will lose access to updates.
  3. Ask you to remove the Theme from your store.

The 14-day window applies regardless of whether you have downloaded the Theme, installed it, or activated your license.

After 14 days

After 14 days from purchase, refunds are case-by-case. We will refund if:

  • There is a reproducible, theme-specific bug we cannot fix in a reasonable timeframe.
  • The Theme is materially different from what is described on themes.tractionify.com or the live demo.
  • A circumstance outside both parties’ reasonable control prevents you from using the Theme.

We will not refund after 14 days when:

  • You changed your mind, picked a different theme, or no longer need an online store.
  • The issue is with Shopify itself, with a third-party app you installed, or with code you modified.
  • You want customizations that fall outside the Theme’s documented functionality.

Stores with live orders

Once your store has processed customer orders against the Theme, the Theme has done its job and refunds are generally not available. This protects against the “buy → use during launch → refund” pattern that makes selling digital goods unsustainable.

If you have processed orders but believe a refund is warranted, email us with the details. We read every request.

Multi-store purchases

If you bought multiple licenses, each license is refundable independently within its own 14-day window from its own purchase date. Refunding one license does not affect the others.

Chargebacks and disputes

If you have a problem, email us first. We can almost certainly resolve it faster and more fairly than a bank dispute.

If you initiate a chargeback or dispute with your payment provider:

  1. Your license is automatically revoked as soon as we receive the dispute notification. A revocation notice appears on your storefront.
  2. We will respond to the dispute with evidence of purchase, license activation, download access, and these policies.
  3. If your dispute is upheld, the license remains revoked.
  4. If we win the dispute, your license is automatically reinstated and the revocation notice clears within minutes of your next page view.

Chargebacks cost both parties money and time. Email support@tractionify.com before contacting your bank — most issues are resolved within a day.

How to request a refund

Email support@tractionify.com with:

  1. Your purchase email address (the one Stripe charged)
  2. Your license key (MAISON-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX)
  3. A brief reason — required for our records but not a hurdle

We acknowledge within one (1) business day and process the refund within five (5) business days. The refund will return to your original payment method; processing time on your end depends on your bank or card issuer (typically 5-10 additional business days).

Failed payments and accidental purchases

If your payment failed and you were charged anyway, or if you purchased the wrong product, email us immediately and we will resolve it without counting it against any refund window.

Changes to this Policy

We may revise this Refund Policy. Changes apply only to purchases made after the change is published. The current version is always available on this page; the “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent change.
